Industrial Filtration Sdn Bhd has been leading in the market for dust and process filters servicing heavy industries, such as Cement, Waste incineration, Chemical Processing Facilities, Food & Beverage, Palm Oil and many other industries for 30 over years, servicing some of the biggest brands in Asia. This is a great opportunity to join a team of trained and talented sales personnel to expand in a fast-paced growing filtration industry.
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join our team as an Assistant Business Development Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for targeting and developing business opportunities within the heavy industries sector, including cement plants, power plants, wastewater treatment facilities, chemical plants, and F&B (food and beverage) industries. Your primary objective will be to identify potential clients, cultivate relationships, and drive the growth of our company in these key sectors particularly in the area of filtration applications.
Responsibilities:
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients and competitors for industrial filtration applications.
- Analyze market trends, industry developments, and customer needs to identify business opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry regulations, technological advancements, and emerging trends in the relevant industries sector.
Business Development:
- Identify and engage with potential clients in cement plants, power plants, wastewater treatment facilities, chemical processing facilities, and F&B industries.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders within target industries.
- Understand clients’ business objectives and pain points, and tailor solutions to meet their specific needs.
- Present and demonstrate our products and services to potential clients effectively.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of agreements with clients, in collaboration with the business development team.
Strategy Development:
- Work closely with the Business Development Manager to develop and implement strategies to penetrate target industries and achieve business growth objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, engineering, and operations, to ensure effective execution of business development strategies.
- Identify and recommend strategic partnerships, collaborations, or acquisitions that align with the company’s growth objectives.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing clients to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
- Proactively address client concerns, resolve issues, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing insights, recommendations, and continuous support.
Reporting and Performance Tracking:
- Monitor and track business development activities, including client interactions, sales pipeline, and revenue growth.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and contribute to the development of sales strategies and targets.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in business development or sales, preferably in heavy industries such as cement plants, power plants, wastewater treatment, chemical plants, or F&B industries.
- Strong understanding of the heavy industries market, including industry dynamics, key players, and emerging trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue business opportunities, resulting in successful sales conversions.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data and develop actionable strategies.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong drive for achieving targets and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
